1964 Pontiac GTO Royal Bobcat Model Kit Engine Without The Car Body

 :

1964 421 HO Pontiac GTO Royal Bobcat Engine

Written By Jim Allan | 12-28-2016

This engine is out of a 1998 Revell Model Kit replica of the 1964 Pontiac GTO "Royal Bobcat" Outfitted car. The model kit gave the option of building the engine with the standard 3, 4 barrell carburetors or with the racing blower under a 2, 4 barrell carburetor setup. I built this engine with the racing setup. 1964 Pontiac GTO Royal Bobcat

This model kit engine is the 421 HO (High Output) Tri-Power version (3 four barrel carburetors creating 370 HP) converted to a drag racing setup with dual carburetors on top of a blower. These motors were commonly used in Nascar and drag racing.

Tom Daniel's 2013 "Paddy Wagon" Release Is A Model Kit I Look Forward To Building In Dedication To Police Officers

 :

The Pic Above Of The 2013 Paddy Wagon Release Includes The Two First Time Cop Figures

This Tom Daniels Paddy Wagon model kit was first produced by Monogram in 1968 without the figures. The Paddy Wagon model kit was then reproduced again in 1998 under the "Revell Monogram" name without the figures. The newest reproduction of the Paddy Wagon model kit with a 2013 copyright date does come with the first time "Cop Figures" Sean Fogerty and Patrick O'Reilly.

The 2013 release of the paddy wagon with the first time cop figures is still available though online retailers. The Paddy Wagon has always been a popular model kit but this release in 2013 with the actual cop figures is going to be a valuable collectors item in the future when it's no longer available though retailers if you don't build it. I have mine I purchased but I'm not going to save it, "I'm Going To Build It". I'll dedicate my building of this Paddy Wagon model kit to all the police officers that lost their lives in service to United States citizens.

Plastic Model Kit Retail Prices Soar And Children Lose A Favorite Pastime Hobby

 :

What We Used To Enjoy As Children Can't Be Enjoyed By Our Children Now

Written By Jim Allan | 5-30-2016

Used to be you could go down to any store and grab a plastic model kit for $1.00 and be a happy camper back in the 1950's. Over the decades the prices of these plastic model kits jumped up but at low price hikes because they were being purchased for children. Adults would take advantage of these low prices and create some outstanding looks with them. But over the decades along with other popular hobby items the secondary market values jump up because some collectors are willing to pay high amounts of cash for popularity and rarity.

Engine From 1980's "Bad Actor" Rebox Model Kit

 :
Early 1980's "Bad Actor" Rebox Engine And Transmission

I have the engine finished. Takes along time to do it. Paint, "Let Dry", Glue "Let Dry" piece by piece. Painting all the small parts takes some skill, patience and touchup. I have the frame painted so I'm ready to put it in. Suppose to put the engine in before the axles but I am putting the axles in before the engine because it's easier to work on the undercarriage when the engine is out.

The body is painted already. Just have some enhancements to do with the paint but the body is after the drive train is ready and attached to the frame and the interior is done.

I'm working on it. I plan to do somemore model kits now that I'm older and less messy with the glue and paint. I'm more willing now to take months to finish the kit instead of getting excited and trying to finish it in days :)
